During a summer walk through the Schoorlse Duinen you will hear the rattling nightjar flying in the evening, smell the scent of the pine forest and see the sand lizard on the walking path. Sea, dunes, forest and heath, the North Sea walk treats you to everything that Schoorl nature has to offer.

Highlights
  • The stairs to the highest dune lead to a view over the Schoorl nature reserve.
  • The bird lake in the open dunes is home to all kinds of bird species and the sand lizard.
  • On the beach you can see all stages of the dune. They grow with the seawater and are allowed to drift freely.
  • In the middle of the forest lies the flowering heathland of the Waterbosvlakte.
The route is a bit more difficult and runs over paved and unpaved paths. towards the sea you will find areas with loose sand. The route is not suitable for disabled people and dogs are not welcome.
