Description
Imagine yourself in the heart of the Drents-Friese Wold and enjoy the tranquility of its beautiful nature. As you stroll along the path, you can listen to birdsong, spot the shy pine marten, and admire the blooming purple heather in August. Be amazed by the diversity of this area.
The forest consists of a mix of coniferous and deciduous trees, where deer quietly hide. In late summer, the heathland turns an enchanting purple, while rare riparian weeds grow along the fens. The pine marten lurks high in the treetops.
The route takes you along idyllic sandy paths and offers a peaceful experience of nature. Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash, so they can also enjoy the surroundings. Please note: the walk is less suitable for people with disabilities due to the unpaved paths.
