Description
Follow in the footsteps of the smugglers and walk the border between Belgium and the Netherlands on this ranger trail across the Strijbeekse Heide in North Brabant. In August the heather turns purple, although a walk around the island in Goudberg has something magical at any time of the year.
- The stream forms the border between the Netherlands and Belgium.
- The peat island in the Goudbergven is one of the last pieces of raised bog in the Netherlands.
- The red wow flies around above the heath.
- In Belgium you walk among the old maritime pines, avenues and deciduous trees.
