Description
The wind in your hair, drifting sand under your feet and an environment where nature has free rein. During the shifting dune tour through the Schoorlse Duinen in North Holland you will experience nature and all its elements. Discover the white dunes and see sand, wind and water play with the area.
- The burnt forest shows how resilient nature is and how it can repair itself.
- The sand drift at the Baaknol looks different during each visit.
- On the beach you can see all stages of the dune. They grow with the seawater and are allowed to drift freely.
- In 1997 nature was released at the Kerf. Sand, water and wind have room for free play here.
- The Bokkenweide is a former tree nursery, used for planting the forests.
- The forests of the Schoorlse Duinen provide a good living environment for the pine orchid.
