Description
Just outside the Zeeland town of Veere you will find the beautiful Veerse Bos. Go on a walk along the water, creeks, reed land and of course through the forest with this tour selected by forest ranger Karel Leeftink. There is plenty to see and do on the forest ranger path. Time to get out there!
The nature in
The starting point of this route is at a parking lot at the Veerse Bos. Park your car here and start your walk through nature. You will pass the Hoge Stoel lookout point on the edge of the Veerse Kreek. From this point you have a beautiful view over the water. A little further on you will find a floating bridge over which you cross the creek. Then you continue your round through the forest. If you pay close attention along the way you can spot all kinds of beautiful animals and plants. For example, there are cuckoo flowers and orchids growing here. Furthermore, bats, woodpeckers and cormorants live in and on the dead trees in the old forest.
