Description
Under the picturesque skies of the Strabrechtse Heide you will find an ancient landscape with animal inhabitants in all shapes and sizes. Walk along the ranger path in Heeze-Leende and meet the Kempen heath sheep, the gentian blue fluttering by or discover the sound of the moor frog in the spring.
- In the middle of the square of De Plaetse there is an old fire pit from which farmers used to get water.
- In early spring you can hear and see the moor frog near the fens.
- In addition to heath, common heather and gale, juniper also grows on the heath.
- Enjoy the view over the Waschven.
- A group of Scottish highlanders are grazing along the route.
