Description

From Parkhotel & Brasserie Auberge Vincent you can take a nice walk. First you walk to the rural area south of Nuenen. Here you walk through the Refelingsche Heide, a nature reserve that belongs to the Gulbergen Estate. That sounds chic, but Gulbergen was once a garbage dump. Now you walk through a mix of meadows, forest and fields of shrub heath. In the valley of the Kleine Dommel you will pass the seventeenth-century Collse Mill, which was painted in 1884 by Vincent van Gogh. From junction 77 you walk a bit along the Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path. Fluorescent stars have been incorporated into the asphalt as a tribute to Van Gogh's 'The Starry Night'. The Opwettense Mill dates from 1764. The route ends at Park Nuenen, which enjoys a protected village view.
