Walking through Nuenen and the valley of the Kleine Dommel

You can take a nice walk from Parkhotel & Brasserie Auberge Vincent. First you walk to the countryside south of Nuenen. You walk here through the Refelingsche Heide, a nature reserve that belongs to Landgoed Gulbergen. That sounds chic, but Gulbergen was once a landfill. Now you walk through a mix of meadows, forest and fields with heather. In the valley of the Kleine Dommel you pass the seventeenth-century Collse Mill, which was painted in 1884 by Vincent van Gogh. From junction 77 you walk a bit along the Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path. Fluorescent stars have been incorporated into the asphalt as a tribute to Van Gogh's'The Starry Night\\\'. The Opwettense Mill dates from 1764. The route ends at Park Nuenen, which enjoys a protected village view.
