The Warande

De Warande City Park is a former nature reserve, where the former residents of Helmond Castle are buried on an island, surrounded by old beech trees and an imposing weeping willow.

Old Tower
In the countryside you can enjoy a peaceful walk along leafy roads along fields and fields. You pass through Croy, a hamlet with some beautiful old farms. Further on is the Old Tower, a remnant of the previous St. Trudo Church that was demolished in 1823. Finally, you walk through the Stiphoutse Bossen. In this former production forest you will find Scots pine and Norway spruce.
