Tour of Hooge Mierde

In the village center of Hooge Mierde you will see some beautiful buildings, such as the Sint Jan Evangelist Church, which was rebuilt in 1922. The medieval tower was retained. You can also visit Museum De Bewogen Jaren. Here you will find a varied and extensive collection of utensils from the Second World War and the Dutch East Indies. In the countryside you walk through a mosaic of fields, fields and old regional farms. Sometimes you walk on car-free roads, other times an unpaved path leads you across agricultural land. After a while you dive into the woods of the Wellenseindse Heide. How quiet it is here! You also pass through the forest that surrounds the Spartelvijver recreational lake.
