Volendam, Edam cycle route with special photo stops

You make a short bike ride through Volendam and Edam, but one with many photo opportunities. So plan enough time to capture all those historic buildings and beautiful views on the digital plate.

Fish auction
On the right, the pleasure boats float on the water, on the left are beautiful characteristic houses. You will immediately experience the characteristic Volendam cosiness here. You cycle under the building of the fish auction, a national monument from 1934. You can make a pit stop at the Volendam Marken Express. You can also book a return ticket to Marken here. Further on you pass the Sint-Vincentius Church.

Cheese market
Cycling on the Zeedijk you will see a wide polder land on the left. You can climb the dike on the right for a view of the Markermeer. In the center of Edam you will find a unique atmosphere. You pass, among other things, the fifteenth-century Grote Kerk. You will also pass the Cheese Market and the Speeltoren.
