Description
The route starts at Wilhelminaplein in Naaldwijk. Here you can (possibly) park your car nearby, gather on a terrace, inflate the tires and fill the water bottles. Children enjoy playing with the old water pump and fountains. From here you cycle through the greenhouse area of Westland.
The route continues to the next recreational lake with a sunbathing lawn. From here you can also watch the water skiers whizzing across the lake.
Museum de Timmerwerf
After the stop, you get on your bike towards the center of De Lier. The Timmerwerf is open here on Saturdays and children can take a look at an old carpentry shop.
Along the Seven Holes to Pavilion de Zweth
From De Lier you leave for the beautiful nature reserve De Zeven Gaten. This is a special nature reserve with seven ditches, are you counting? The ditches have a rich flora and fauna.
You then arrive in the Zwetzone at Paviljoen de Zweth. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee on the terrace. The children can canoe, pedal boat, survive, play mini golf, play in the playground and more.
From Kwintsheul to Poeldijk
The last part of the route goes along the water and through the greenhouse area of Westland. Here you cycle past a very special greenhouse... pay close attention to the Poeldijksepad, because halfway on the right side there are flamingos enjoying their nice home.
Picking company Framblij
In this picking farm, families with children can pick fruit every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning during the summer season. Think of: raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, cherries, and so on. After picking and drinking lemonade from the Theeschenkerij, you can also play in the playground of the Plukkerij.
Recreation area Prinsenbo s
Then you leave in the direction of the Prinsenbos in Naaldwijk. The recreation area has a natural playground and a beach with a sunbathing lawn. Children can play here, but there is also a lot to see and learn in the various gardens.
Endpoint Naaldwijk
Once back in Naaldwijk, you can relax on one of the terraces, for example at Bij5 or De Mirell.
