Description
This route takes you through Boswachterij Dorst, a vast nature reserve near Breda. You will also pass through Molenschot and Dorst, two beautiful villages.
Molenschot
Time seems to have stood still a bit in Molenschot. Here you will see, among other things, the St. Anne's Church from 1887, a monumental parsonage from 1879 and some beautiful farms. Opposite the church is the St. Anne's Chapel from 1842. It is visited by women who pray for a husband or a child:"Anneke, Anneke, give me a man.\\\"
Thirst
You walk through the fields to Dorst, another beautiful village. Here you will see, among other things, the Sint-Marculphus Church from 1912. Then you walk a long way through the Forestry Dorst. This nature reserve consists mainly of Scots pines that were planted on the heath in the early nineteenth century. It is so quiet here, ideal for a day of relaxation.
