Description
In Molenschot you can admire some old sights. In the outlying area you walk through Boswachterij Dorst and the farmlands.
St. Anne's Church
From the starting point you will immediately see your first sight on this route: the Sint-Annakerk from 1887, a beautiful neo-Gothic cruciform church. Opposite the church is the Sint-Annakapel. This large chapel dates from 1842, but had a predecessor built in 1549. The chapel is visited by women who pray for a man or a child: "Anneke, Anneke, give me a man."
Forestry Dorst
Then you make a tour through the Boswachterij Dorst. This quiet nature reserve consists mainly of Scots pines that were planted on the heath in the early nineteenth century. In the middle of the forest you walk along a heath remnant, especially in August you can enjoy the beautiful purple flowering heath here. Back in Molenschot you pass some beautiful farms. Finally, you walk on a leafy road along meadows and fields.
