Tour of Slotermeer, Tjeukemeer and Gaasterland

In the wooded Gaasterland you will find many beautiful plants: foxglove, wood anemone, collar anemone and wild garlic are spread throughout the area. In the spring, a colony of sand martins hatch their young in self-dug holes. You can also see the hawk, sparrowhawk and buzzard. Marina De Koggeplaet is perhaps the most beautiful spot on the Fluessen. It is an idyllic spot directly on the largest lake in Friesland, the Fluessen and the Heegermeer. The bell tower of Ypecolsga is located in the cemetery of the village. A bell tower was often located in smaller municipalities that could not afford a large church tower, so residents still had bells for small ceremonies.
