Tour of Slotermeer, Tjeukemeer and Gaasterland

The route starts at Rijsterbosch. In the wooded Gaasterland you will find many beautiful plants: marshmallow flower, wood anemone, collared anemone and wild garlic are spread throughout the area. In the spring, a colony of sand martins hatches its young in self-dug holes. You will also see the hawk, sparrowhawk and buzzard. De Koggeplaet marina is perhaps the most beautiful spot on the Fluessen. It is an idyllic place directly on the largest lake in Friesland, the Fluessen and the Heegermeer. The Ypecolsga bell tower is located in the village cemetery. A bell tower was often located in smaller municipalities that could not afford a large church tower, so residents still had bells for small ceremonies. Mill De Jager is a mill built in 1719 that was used to saw wood.
