Island hopping on the Zeeland coast

Oosterscheldekering
From Holiday Park de Meerpaal you drive to the Dorpsbos: a varied nature reserve near Biggekerke that was created as part of a land consolidation scheme. Then it is wonderful to make kilometers through the wide polders on Walcheren. You drive over Noord-Beveland, where you pass Banjaardstrand, one of the cleanest beaches in the Netherlands. Nice to take a dip in the bath! Then you cross the Oosterscheldekering. Get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the views.

Burgh-Haamstede
On Schouwen-Duiveland you cycle through the picturesque Burgh-Haamstede. You can see here, among other things, a partial replica of an old ring rampart. You drive through the De Vroongronden nature reserve to Renesse, where you get off at Strandrestaurant Our Seaside for a well-deserved pit stop. You drive through the dunes back to Burgh, via the Oosterscheldekering you cycle to the west side of Walcheren. Here you drive through the Manteling, a beautiful nature reserve. You will also pass through picturesque towns such as Domburg, Westkapelle and Zoutelande.
