Diever is a beautiful old village that is easy to explore on foot. In the countryside you can walk through the woods of the Drents-Friese Wold and learn more about the Shakespeare theater.

Enjoy a coffee at Landhotel & Restaurant Diever before you walk to Hunebed D52. You then walk on a car-free road to Diever, passing some beautiful thatched farms along the way. The Brink in Diever has been beautifully preserved, you get a glimpse of the Drenthe of the past here. You can see the Schultehuis, which dates from 1604. The Sint-Pancratius Church is considered one of the most beautiful churches in Drenthe.

Shakespeare
From the Brink you will regularly see information boards about the history of the Shakespeare theater, about the actors who have performed here and about the plays that have been performed since 1946. That makes your walk through the beautiful landscape even more interesting! In the TIP on the Bosweg, an exhibition has been set up with, among other things, stage costumes. At the Hezenes you pass the Shakespeare theater itself. You walk back through the woods to Landhotel & Restaurant Diever.
