In the footsteps of the Teuten

Your route starts at De Oude Brandtoren. In Eersel you will pass through De Markt and Hint, beautiful old streets. Here you will see, among other things, a few Teutenhuizen. The Eersel Teuten were merchants who mainly traded in copper and women's hair between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries. In the small village of Westerhoven you will find Bij de Teut, this is a nice place to take a break! Just after Bergeijk you will drive into the woods. In Grenspark De Kempen you will find vast forests, babbling brooks and the vast Cartierheide await you. On the edge you cycle through the Peelse Heide where you see the Groote Cirkel and the Kleine Cirkel, two circular roads that formed an important orientation point for pilots during the Second World War.
