Do you feel like going on a trip through the wonderfully quiet farmland of Zeeland? Then this route is perfect for you. During this trip you will go on a trip along the fields between the Zeeland Hulst, Vogelwaarde and Terholde.
On the way along the fields
The fortified town of Hulst is the base for this route. From here you cycle into the vast landscape full of fields on your way to Vogelwaarde. Along the way you will pass the Groot Eiland nature reserve, which consists of forests and several creeks. This area is a remnant of a former sea inlet. Fancy an extra detour on your route? Then walk through this beautiful area. Then you exchange the lush nature for the vast fields towards Vogelwaarde. In this village you can take a break and sit down on a terrace for a well-deserved snack and a drink. You can also choose to walk further through the farmland.
Historical Hulst
You will eventually end up back in Hulst at the place where you started your journey. From here you will be in the historical centre of Hulst in no time. There you will find many remains of the old fortress. Definitely worth seeing!
