Do you feel like going out through the wonderfully quiet farmland of Zeeland? Then this route is perfect for you. During this tour you will travel along the fields between Hulst, Vogelwaarde and Terholde in Zeeland.
On the road along the fields
The fortified town of Hulst is the base of this route. From here you cycle into the vast landscape full of fields on your way to Vogelwaarde. Along the way you will pass the Groot Eiland nature reserve, which includes forests and several creeks. This area is a remnant of a former estuary. Fancy an extra detour on your route? Then walk through this beautiful area. Then you exchange the lush nature for the vast fields towards Vogelwaarde. In this village you can take a break and sit on a terrace for a well-deserved snack and a drink. You can also choose to continue walking through the farmland.
Historic Hulst
You will eventually end up back in Hulst at the place where you started your journey. From here you can reach the historic center of Hulst in no time. There you will still find many remains of the old fortress. Definitely worth seeing!
