Description
From Spijkenisse you make a tour over Voorne-Putten. You will pass through the old harbor of Hellevoetsluis, among other things.
Bernisse
You are the first to drive to Simonshaven, on the edge of this village you will see the beautiful white plastered hall church from 1852. Further on you drive along the banks of the Stompaardse Plas, a nice recreational area. The path continues along the leafy banks of the Bernisse, the waterway that separates the former islands of Voorne and Putten. Cycling over the high dike along the Spui you can get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the beautiful view.
Beninger swallow
The Beningerslikken is a nature reserve that largely consists of former farmland outside the dykes. You can spot many birds in this reed-rugged area. Then you drive to the port of Hellevoetsluis. Here you can visit the Dry Dock Jan Blanken, which was built between 1798 and 1822, a unique experience. On quiet roads you drive through the polder and via Zuidland back to Spijkenisse.
