Description
Just above Zwolle you can take a nice walk through the countryside. You walk through forest, polders and an old hamlet. Put on your sturdy shoes for a varied walk.
Agnietenberg
First you walk through the forest that lies on the Agnietenberg: a river dune dating from the ice age. What immediately stands out: the peace in this region, wonderful! Then you walk on a quiet path along the meadows and a number of pools that lie on the Overijsselse Vecht. Enjoy!
Western Fields Forest
You walk through the hamlet of Langenholte, at the village green you see some beautiful farms. Further on you look out from the path over a pool that lies on the river Zwarte Water. You walk a bit along the Westerveldse Bos, a young nature reserve. Between the meadows you walk to the Wijde Aa, a recreational lake that was created by sand extraction. Along the banks it is wonderful to blow away the cobwebs here.
