Description
You walk around Baarland through the Zak van Zuid-Beveland. A beautiful old cultural landscape where you will find plenty of peace.
Monks
From Strandbrasserie de Landing you can walk straight through the characteristic landscape at the tip of Zuid-Beveland. You walk through a mosaic of small polders, creeks, orchards, rows of trees and vliedbergen. This beautiful area has been slowly reclaimed from the sea through countless small reclamations. The monks of Sint Bavo from Ghent already started this in the twelfth century, so Beveland is named after them.
Western Scheldt
From junction 63 you walk on an unpaved road between the meadows. You can optimally enjoy the tranquility here. Further on you cross the seawall. At the top you can get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the wide panorama. You can walk along the coast of the Western Scheldt at your leisure, you will see many ships sailing here that have the port of Antwerp as their destination. At Strandbrasserie de Landing it's time for a drink on a terrace.
