Description
This route takes you through the countryside of Goes. A beautiful trip through the wide polders of Zuid-Beveland, where you also visit some interesting villages.
Eastern Sheng
Soon you will be riding through the beautiful Wissekerke, further on you will cycle through 's-Heer Hendrikskinderen. Just past junction 60 you will look out from the Deltaweg over the Oosterschenge: the remains of a sea arm that separated the former island of Wolphaartsdijk from the rest of Zuid-Beveland.
Veerse Meer
Further on you drive along the dike at the Veerse Meer. You can climb it for a nice view. From a distance you can see De Hoop: a corn mill from 1808 in Wolphaartsdijk. Further on you pass De Weel: a former tidal channel that was reclaimed in 1649. Along the water you look out over reed beds and grasslands. On the ring in's-Heer Arendskerke you see the medieval Petruskerk.
