Description
You will experience a wonderfully relaxing cycling day in the border region of Sittard and Germany. You pass through villages with sights and beautiful nature reserves.
Self side
Between the villages of Wehr and Süsterseel you drive through the beautiful and quiet deciduous forest of the Tüdderner Fenn. Further on you drive on car-free roads through the gently sloping, unspoilt countryside. You will also pass through some picturesque towns, such as Haaren.
Annendaalsbos
Back in the Netherlands you drive through a number of special nature reserves. First you cycle through the Annendaalsbos with its many fragrant conifers. At junction 22 you pass the Haeselaarsbroek. This former swamp is now one of the most valuable dragonfly areas in the Netherlands. At Susteren you pass through the IJzerenbos and't Hout, via the German Tüddern you drive back to Hotel Merici.
