Cycling route through the woods near Rijssen

You can take a bike ride around Rijssen through the natural landscape. First you drive to De Borkeld: a mosaic of young forests, fields and grasslands. Around junction 73 you cycle along the wet grasslands of Overtoom-Middelveen. Here you pass the holiday address Buiteninn Het Overveen. Below Holten you drive through the picturesque surroundings of the Beuseberg. In the hamlet of Dijkerhoek you can admire the Hegeman, a flour mill from 1890. Further on you cycle through the forests of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. The irregular shapes of the old oak trees here are beautiful. How wonderfully peaceful it is here! Finally, you drive through Rijssen. In this pleasant town you will see some sights, such as the centuries-old Schildkerk. The route ends with a terrace at Cafe Restaurant Bowlingcentrum't Witte Hoes.
