Description
Enjoy a nice walk from Hardenberg in Overijssel to Coevorden in Drenthe? This walk takes you through the green surroundings of the Blauwnet Zwolle-Emmen train line. You walk a bit along the Vecht and then you pass through Gramsbergen on the way.
Peaceful landscapes
The Hardenberg train station is the starting point of your tour. From here you walk straight through the town to the green countryside, crossing the Vecht via a bridge. The landscape around Hardenberg is characterised by unspoilt nature, historic paths and characteristic farms on the border of the Vechtdal and the Reestdal. You really feel like you are in times long gone. You walk through this area to Gramsbergen. After about 8 kilometres you can take a break at Granny's Barn Hadassa Hoeve. In this cosy tea house in Ane you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea with something tasty to go with it.
Further on the road through Gramsbergen
Then you walk past the Infocentrum Vechtdal Gramsbergen and the Train Station Gramsbergen further towards Coevorden. You walk mostly through quiet landscapes with only here and there a farm. Do you feel like eating a bite somewhere along the way? Then you can go to Pannenkoekenboerderij De Ganzenhoeve. You finally end your walk at Train Station Coevorden.

Before you take the train back home, you will of course take a look at Coevorden. This town with a historic centre is full of a special mix of ancient buildings and modern architecture. In short, there is enough to see when you stroll through the streets here. A nice conclusion to this walking tour.
