Would you like to take a nice walk from Hardenberg in Overijssel to Coevorden in Drenthe? This is possible with this walk that takes you through the green surroundings of the Blauwnet Zwolle-Emmen train route . You walk along the Vecht for a while and further on you pass through Gramsbergen on the way.
Peaceful landscapes
Hardenberg train station is the starting point of your tour. From here you walk straight through the town to the green countryside, crossing the Vecht via a bridge. The landscape around Hardenberg is characterized by unspoilt nature, historic paths and characteristic farms on the border of the Vechtdal and Reestdal. Here you really feel like you're back in times long gone. You walk through this area to Gramsbergen. After about 8 kilometers you can take a break at Granny's Barn Hadassa Hoeve. In this cozy tea house in Ane you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea with something tasty.
Continue on the road through Gramsbergen
Then you walk past the Information Center Vechtdal Gramsbergen and the Gramsbergen Train Station towards Coevorden. You walk largely through quiet landscapes with only a farm here and there. Would you like to have a bite to eat somewhere along the way? Then you can go to Pannenkoekenboerderij De Ganzenhoeve. You ultimately end your tour at Coevorden Train Station.
Historical Coevorden
Before you take the train back home, you will of course take a look at Coevorden. This town with a historic center is full of a special mix of centuries-old buildings and modern architecture. In short, there is plenty to see when you stroll through the streets here. A nice ending to this hike.
