Blauwnet walk Hengelo - Borne

Up the paths, into the avenues! This walk takes you from Hengelo station to Borne station. A beautiful route of over 22 kilometers through Overijssel. This route is part of the Blauwnet route Enschede - Emmen.

Discover Hengelo
The route starts at Hengelo train station, an ideal starting point for cyclists. From here you can quickly reach the beautiful places of Twente. Along the way you will pass Tuindorp Lansink, one of the most beautiful garden villages in the Netherlands. Take a tour around the pond and finish with coffee or tea at Tuindorphotel't Lansink. You will also pass Hengelo Health Park train station and De Noordmolen. For many, the Noordmolen is a tangible reminder of the past. The first mention dates from 1347. The Noordmolen occupies a special place due to its unique location in the landscape of Twente. This walking route ends at Borne train station. Borne is located in the heart of Twente and is a small and cozy village.

Estate Twickel
During this route you could also deviate to the nearby beautiful Twickel estate, where a beautiful castle, historic farms and small-scale bocage landscape can be found.

Back home by train
Get on the train and travel with one of our Blauwnet trains to Hengelo. When you're done with the walk, you can take the train back home from Borne. Along the way you can still enjoy the beautiful walk you made today.
