Description
Your route starts at TOP de Zonnebloem, just outside the nice old Lochem. Get off at Herberg De Pot in Markelo! You will also pass beautiful houses and castles such as Kasteel Huis in Diepenheim, the oldest castle in the region. It was built in 1648 by Berent Bentinck. His family coat of arms can be admired on the beautiful castle gate. Warmelo Castle dates from 1339 and is surrounded by a beautiful park with gardens in different themes. Also get off at the Erve Brooks Museum Farm. At this sixteenth-century farmhouse from 1538 you will find a shop with gifts and wooden toys. The Lebbenbrugge Farm Museum, a centuries-old Saxon farm, is beautifully situated on the De Slinge stream. Ruurlo Castle is a country estate dating from 1326, on the edge of Ruurlo.
