Poptalock
The route starts at the parking lot in Adlân-Oost. From here you can drive straight into the vast polders. You pass through Boksum and Deinum, two beautiful old terp villages that were once located on the Middelzee: a former estuary that ran through Friesland until the Middle Ages. In Marssum you will pass the Heringastate, a fifteenth-century stins that is now a museum: a nice stop!

Leeuwarderbos
After cycling along a few canals through the polders, you will pass through the Leeuwarderbos: a beautiful young nature reserve that has been planted to compensate for CO2 emissions. Then you drive through the city center of Leeuwarden. Thanks to the many well-preserved monumental buildings, you will find a unique historic atmosphere here. To enjoy!
