There is plenty to do in Leeuwarden, especially now that the Frisian city is the cultural capital of Europe. With this route you will discover the rich culture and urban nature.
Prince Garden
You will immediately see many monumental buildings on the Eewal. Some date back to the early seventeenth century! Further on you walk past the Prinsentuin, the park was created in 1648 by order of Prince Willem Frederik van Nassau.
Frisian Museum
You walk a bit along the Noorder Stadsgracht, after which you cross the water and walk along the Rengerspark, which was built at the beginning of the twentieth century by order of Baron Rengers. Once you have crossed the Dokkumer Ee, you will soon reach the next piece of beautiful urban nature: the Dokter Zamenhof Park. On the Ooster Stadsgracht you can visit't Other Museum. In the old center you also pass the Fries Museum.
