Description
From the edge of the town of Nijkerk you can walk straight into the Gelderse Vallei. You will find plenty of variety here: meadows, fields and small-scale nature reserves. Ideal for a nice long walk.
Schtenhorst
After you've run wild in Nijkerk, you walk into the countryside. You will pass through Schtenhorst, a hamlet where you will see some historic farms. On an unpaved path you walk past meadows and through a small forest. How wonderfully quiet it is here!
Estate Apple
You pass De Hoop, a thatched corn mill from 1888. Further on you walk across Landgoed Appel. Here you will find a beautiful coulisse landscape of deciduous forest, high narrow soils and wet low hay meadows that are often surrounded by hedgerows and canals. In this oasis of tranquility it is wonderful to grab a picnic bench. You walk over a leafy road to Driedorp.
