Blow out at the Haringvliet

In the polders of Goeree-Overflakkee you can blow away, while enjoying the peace and space. You will also pass through some beautiful villages and you can blow away at the Haringvliet.

Grevelingenmeer
Enjoy a drink at a terrace at't Wapen van Stellendam before getting on your bike. You cycle through Stellendam for a while, after which you cycle through the vast polders of Goeree-Overflakkee. Just past Melissant you cycle a long way along the Slikken van Flakkee. This unspoiled nature reserve consists of mudflats and salt marshes that are overgrown with rye, grasses and scrub. Just before junction 79 you can climb the dike for a view of the Grevelingenmeer.

Beautiful Middelharnis
In Herkingen you will see two special monumental buildings: the seventeenth-century Visbank and the village church from 1788. In Dirksland you will cycle along the old harbour, further on you will cycle into Middelharnis. The street to Streekmuseum Goeree-Overflakkee is truly a picture. In the museum you will learn more about the history of the island. Also around the ring you will experience the atmosphere of times gone by through the many old houses. You will take a look at the Haringvliet, then cycle back to Stellendam.
