Cycling route through the Drents-Friese Wold

Ready for a day of cycling through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands? Come to the Drents-Friese Wold National Park and enjoy the silence.

Picturesque Diever
On quiet shady roads you cycle past fields and grasslands. You regularly see an old Saxon farm. What immediately stands out here: the characteristic Drenthe peace! In Diever you come to the Brink past the former Schultehuis from 1604. A little further on is the beautiful Sint-Pancratiuskerk. This building originally dates from the twelfth century.

Lifting group
As a nature lover, you can indulge yourself in the Drents-Friese Wold. Here you cycle through a series of different types of deciduous and coniferous trees. You also pass the vast heathland of the Doldersummer Veld. Further on, you occasionally have views over grasslands and arable lands. After junction 59 and a beautiful sand shift, you cross the Tilgrup, the stream that forms the border between Friesland and Drenthe. And you cycle back into the forests. What silence!
