Ready for a day of cycling through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands? Come to the Drents-Friese Wold National Park and enjoy the silence.
Picturesque Diever
You cycle along quiet leafy roads past fields and grasslands. You regularly see an old Saxon farm. What immediately stands out here: the characteristic Drenthe tranquility! In Diever you will pass the former Schultehuis from 1604 at the Brink. A little further on is the beautiful St. Pancratius Church. This building originally dates from the twelfth century.
Tilgrup
As a nature lover, you can indulge yourself in the Drents-Friese Wold. Here you cycle through a series of different types of deciduous and coniferous trees. You will also pass the vast heathland of the Doldersummer Veld. Further on you occasionally have views over grasslands and arable lands. After junction 59 and a beautiful sand slide you cross the Tilgrup, the stream that forms the border between Friesland and Drenthe. And you drive back into the woods. What a silence!
