Someren / Heikant / De Hoef / Vlerken / Vaarsche Hoef (south of Lierop)

This walk starts on the edge of the Lieropse Heide where you have a nice view over this large nature reserve, as well as some of the fens that are located there. After crossing the Somerenseweg a wide sandy path follows, a part over a wide asphalt road... and shortly afterwards I lost track due to unclear signposts. After quite a bit of wandering I finally came back to junction 66 via the Somerenseweg. From that point on it is initially quiet, wide paved roads with beautiful houses and meadows. The route ends on the west side of the Lieropseweg in a swamp area where the trails had not been maintained for a long time at the time of my walk. The grass was at knee height and the path is very narrow, so you prefer to walk this part with long pants. It is a beautiful area and a pleasant end to a long walk through a beautiful part of Brabant.
