Description
Baarschot is a beautiful village in the Brabant border region. Put on your walking shoes for a varied walk through the beautiful Brabant countryside.
Maria cave
On the left of the road, you will soon see the Mary cave from 1945 under the trees. It was built from boulders from the nearby Landgoed De Utrecht. In and around the village you will also pass some characteristic old farms. To the left of the Esbeeksedijk you look out through the bushes on the stream Reusel.
The Utrecht
Then you walk a bit through the woods and farmlands on the edge of De Utrecht. This estate was mined in 1898 as an investment by the life insurance company De Utrecht. It is wonderfully quiet here on winding paths, ideal for relaxing and recharging the battery. Part of the forest is intersected by the meandering Reusel: an idyllic setting! You walk back to Baarschot via the hamlet of Heikant.
