According to a folk tale, Zwolle is said to have sold a carillon from a burnt-out tower in Kampen, on the condition that the people of Kampen could determine how the amount would be paid. The full price was paid in four-duit pieces, copper coins with a low value. Counting the coins gave the people of Zwolle blue fingers.
