Tour through the surroundings of the Society of Benevolence.

 The Society of Benevolence was founded 200 years ago by General van den Bosch. The intention  was to give poor unemployed people, mainly from the west of the Netherlands, in this area the opportunity to build a new and better life here. The so-called colonies mainly included the villages of Frederiksoord Wilhelminaoord and Willemsoord, where farms and craft businesses were built, where the population had to build their new lives with varying degrees of success. Training and model companies were an important part of the Company's design. The cycle route goes through this area where you can still see quite a lot of the history of this area. The route starts on  the Brink in Vledder.
