From Kalenberg through the Weerribben and Wieden

At Hotel Café Restaurant Het Rietershuijs you can first have a drink on a terrace. The first few kilometres you cycle along the Kalenbergergracht. In the middle of the rugged nature of the Weerribben you experience an almost deafening silence. At the edge you pass a lookout tower that gives you a unique panorama of the area. Further on you cycle along the Vollenhovermeer and through the Voorsterbos. In the Wieden you can also fully enjoy the natural beauty and the silence. From the Veneweg, which has been here since 1775, you have beautiful views over the water of the Beulakerwijde and Belterwijde. In the middle between the two banks lies the hamlet Ronduite on a peninsula. The name refers to the redoubt (military fortification) that was once here. Along the Giethoornse Meer you cycle back to Kalenberg.
