Walking through Esbeek and the woods

Esbeek is a beautiful Brabant village that is easy to explore on foot. In the area you walk through farmlands and forests.

Rooster Heide
As you walk through Esbeek, you will see some old farms and experience the characteristic Brabant geniality. Then you walk through the Roovertsche Heide. This area is nicknamed the'Estate of the Poor\\\'. A charity foundation once bought this area as a job creation project, but this plan failed. Now you walk between fragrant conifers.

The Utrecht
From the forest you walk through the farmlands before you walk into the beautiful forests on the edge of Landgoed De Utrecht. This nature reserve was developed in 1898 as an investment by life insurance company De Utrecht. From that time you can see, among other things, the monumental forester's house with fire tower. On the Lage Mierdseweg you see a row of six monumental service houses for forest workers of De Utrecht.
