Walking through estates on the Veluwezoom

After walking a bit through Dieren, you walk through wooded estates. First, you walk through the starry forest of Hof te Dieren. In this centuries-old estate, you walk along wide lanes that are lined with deciduous trees. On top of the Carolinaberg, there is a beautiful old beech tree on a round forest square. A special spot, you can enjoy it optimally from the round bench. You descend the Veluwezoom to the picturesque Ellecom, after which you enter the rolling Middachten Estate. Here you walk past oaks, beeches and conifers. The deeper you walk into the forest, the quieter it becomes. Finally, you walk through Hagenau. This estate was purchased by Natuurmonumenten in 1911 and formed the beginning of the Veluwezoom National Park.
