Walking through estates on the Veluwezoom

After you have walked a bit through Dieren, you walk through wooded estates. First you walk through the star forest of Hof te Dieren. In this centuries-old estate you walk along wide avenues lined with deciduous trees. On top of the Carolinaberg there is a beautiful old beech on a round forest square. A special place, you can enjoy it to the fullest from the round bench. You briefly descend the Veluwezoom to the picturesque Ellecom, after which you walk into the rolling Middachten Estate. Here you walk past oaks, beeches and conifers. The deeper you walk into the forest, the quieter it becomes. Finally, you walk through Hagenau. This estate was purchased by Natuurmonumenten in 1911 and formed the beginning of De Veluwezoom National Park.
