This route takes you to a very varied landscape across the Veluwe, through forests, past heathland and sand drifts.
You start this route from Bungalowpark Het Verscholen Dorp in Harderwijk, where you can rent bicycles if you do not want to bring them from home. From here you cycle through the Leuvenum forest and over the Beekhuizerzand towards Hierden.

The Essenburgh
In Hierden you can stop at the Essenburgh and admire this beautiful castle. Here you step back in time, an imposing 17th century castle in a beautiful location. Here you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or a fresh snack on the beautiful terrace.
Past Hulshorst, where the De Maagd flour mill can be admired, you head towards the Elspeetsche heath, a beautiful rolling heathland. Highly recommended when the heather is in bloom.

You cycle through the shady Leuvenum forest towards Ermelo, here you pass the Ermelose Heide where a stop at the Schapedrift visitor center is highly recommended. Then you cycle further through the beautiful forests of Putten and into the rural areas between Putten and Ermelo, where you can admire numerous picturesque farms. This way you can reach the Veluwemeer at Strand Horst via the hamlets of Telgt and Horst.
At the TELSTAR beach club you can catch your breath with the beautiful views of the Veluwemeer and also admire the many wind and kite surfers. The last part goes along the beautiful Veluwemeer to finally arrive at Bungalow Park Het Verscholen Dorp, where you can rest and relax after this fun bike ride!
