Historic Haarlem is easy to explore by bike. Outside the city you drive through the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, Spaarnwoude and some estates. The route starts at the edge of the Elswout Estate. From here you drive via the villa-rich Aerdenhout to the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. From the cycle path you have a beautiful view of the varied dune landscape, and you also drive long stretches through the dune forest. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for charging the battery. At Landgoed Duin & Kruidberg you can get off and enjoy a coffee and something tasty or a meal at your leisure. You cycle through wooded estates to Velsen-Zuid. The picturesque area around the twelfth-century Engelmundus Church enjoys a protected village view, what a special atmosphere! You then drive through the varied landscape of the Spaarnwoude nature and recreation area.
