Description
Around the Central Limburg Panheel it is nice to walk along the banks of various lakes. Put on your walking shoes for a special route!
Beaver tracks
There are several ponds around Panheel that were created by gravel extraction. First you will see the Sint-Antoniusplas from the road on the right. Further on you walk through the park forest of the Leerke Ven. There is a good chance that you will find traces of beavers here, such as trees that have been felled in a characteristic way. About 100 beavers live here.
Leerke Ven
You then walk along the tree-lined banks of the Tesken and the Polderveld, two more lakes, surrounded by a dike. From the bridge along the Polderveld you look out over the Maas to the right. Then you take a tour around the Boschmolerplas. From the dike you look out to the right over the Lange Vlieter, further on you will see the Uffelsebeek babbling on the right of the footpath. After a while you walk through the Leerke Ven again.
