Description
Steegberg
The forests in this area may not be well known, but it doesn't make it any less beautiful! First you walk through the Steegberg. At the beginning you see some fish ponds here, a little later you walk between fragrant conifers. This forest area was only reclaimed after the Second World War. Just like in other parts of the Peel, there was once an extensive heathland here.
Chapel
Between nodes 34 and 32 you have beautiful vistas over the meadows and fields, while you walk into the Heesberg. It is wonderfully quiet in this nature reserve. Ideal for a chat. The last part of the route you walk on a low-traffic road through the countryside. At junction 20 you pass a characteristic chapel.
