Walking around Funbeach

This detour takes you for a tour around the Fun Beach, a nature and recreation area just outside the Limburg Panheel. A nice outing with the children, with a bit of luck you can spot a beaver here!

Learn Ven
You walk along the Fun Beach, a lake area that was created by gravel extraction. The first meters you walk a bit along the recreational beach, on the left you get shelter from the trees. You then enter the quieter part of the Leerke Ven. It is wonderfully quiet to walk here on the leafy path. You can enjoy the peace and the view from a bench.

Beaver
Many water and breeding birds live in this part. You can also find traces of a beaver, for example a dam or a characteristically felled tree. With a bit of luck the aquatic animal will show itself, there are currently about a hundred living in this area. From the path you have beautiful views over the rippling water and the reed beds. The last part of the route you walk through a park-like forest.
