Description
We parked the car in a spacious parking lot in Dussen at Reastaurant de Koppelpaarden, near junction 52.
From 52 we drove to starting point 54, a beautiful winding road along beautiful old farms...
Then follows a beautiful car-free road to Nieuwendijk, and via the hamlet of De Kil you pass Fort Altena, a little further on Fort Bakkerskil.

Via a beautiful cycle path you go under the A27 to Sleeuwijk.
Brasserie Rivierenzicht is a must (closed on Mondays)

From Sleeuwijk you cycle towards the beautiful Woudrichem!

Then you have to go under the city gate to get to the ferry via junction 32, which will take you to Fort Loevestein.

From Fort Loevestein you take junction 72 ... Really beautiful area.
Like cycling on water...
Then again towards Almkerk (small piece of provincial road and small piece of residential area) and then back to the beginning via the indicated junctions, 54.
Then follow 52 to return to Castle Dussen and the parking lot de Koppelpaarden (direction 50)
When we cycled this route we came to 55 km.
An absolute must, with a lot of variety in landscape and many car-free roads, nice places to stop and with Woudrichem and Slot Loevestein as places to visit!
