Walking along the Lek near Culemborg

In the outskirts of Culemborg you can make a nice trip through the floodplains along the Lek. Here you can enjoy a tasty meal in an atmospheric ambiance, so that you can go out with sufficient energy. First you cross the water of the Lek with a ferry, always a nice experience. You walk through Den Oord, a hamlet. Then you walk over the Lekdijk, where you look out over the grasslands and the river. A ferry takes you across the Lek again, on the other side you walk on the Veerweg past some monumental houses.
