Molenheide is a beautiful nature reserve just below the Brabantse Mill. Put on your walking shoes and come here to relax and enjoy nature.
Scottish Highlanders
At Brasserie Erica you can first have something to drink and eat, so that you can set off with enough energy. You immediately walk into Molenheide. There was once an extensive heathland here, which was cleared in the 1920s and planted with Scots pine and American oak. It is nice and quiet to walk here. Ideal to recharge the battery. And catch up with your fellow hiker(s).
Heimolen
In the middle of the area you walk across a piece of heathland that was allowed to reemerge since 2000. Scottish Highlanders graze here. Further on you pass a pool in the middle of the forest: an idyllic spot. You can spot many dragonflies on and around the water. After a while you walk through the fields. Here you see the Heimolen, a beautiful monumental flour mill from 1799.
