Description
There are beautiful walks on Walcheren. This route takes you from Vrouwenpolder to the Oranjezon dune area and the beach. What are you waiting for?
Pilgrim Church
You start the route in the village Vrouwenpolder. You can still see some beautiful old buildings here. You will also pass the Pilgrim Church from 1622. In the polder you walk along sheltered, leafy roads and along a sandy path between meadows and fields. It is nice and quiet to walk here under the low floating clouds. Ideal for catching up with your fellow walkers. Every now and then you pass a beautiful old farm.
Orange sun
Further on you walk into Oranjezon. In this nature reserve you will successively see forest, thickets and strips of dune grass and marram grass. Then you walk on the beautiful wide sandy beach, while listening to the soothing sound of the surf. That's never boring! You walk back through the dune to Vrouwenpolder.
