Description
Walcheren is a wonderful place to walk. This route takes you from Vrouwenpolder to the Oranjezon dune area and the beach. What are you waiting for?
Pilgrim Church
You start the route in the village of Vrouwenpolder. You will see some beautiful old buildings here. You will also pass the Pilgrim's Church from 1622. In the polder you will walk over sheltered, shady paths and over a sandy path between meadows and fields. It is nice and quiet to walk here under the low drifting clouds. Ideal to chat with your fellow walkers. Every now and then you will pass a beautiful old farm.
Orange sun
Further on you walk into Oranjezon. In this nature reserve you see successively forest, scrub and strips of dune grass and beach grass. Then you walk over the beautiful wide sandy beach, while listening to the soothing sound of the surf. That never gets boring! Through the dunes you walk back to Vrouwenpolder.
