Through polders and old towns in the Westland

From Maasland you drive to Maasluis, after which you cycle for a while along the banks of the Nieuwe Waterweg. You also pass through the Staelduinse Bos. This special nature reserve is located on a remnant of former estuary dunes and was established as an estate in the nineteenth century. Via Hoek van Holland and Naaldwijk you drive to the water-rich Wollebrand nature reserve. Further on you drive through the't Woudt, a hamlet where there are still many old buildings. Get off for a moment to enjoy the special atmosphere before you drive to the Kraaiennest. This nature reserve also serves as a water storage facility. The last part of the route takes you through Maasland. In the historic heart of this town you will see the late medieval Oude Kerk. The route ends at't Wapen van Maeslant.
